Mini concentration: Macro showing texture

For my mini concentration I took a series of macro pictures of various plants to show texture and shape! My only challenge was only being able to use the macro lens at school.

  2. Your description was accurate but overall I think this idea needs a bit more creativity involved. Plant textures are something that we do see somewhat often, I think. But you executed your idea well and that was good. One good photo was the one of the pine cone. I like the crispness of the photo. One not so good was the last one, I’m not sure if the shallow depth of field helped the photo much because so little of the plant is in focus to see the texture.

  3. Yes the description matches the pictures. My favorite picture is of the buds, I really like the pop of pink and they fill the image. My least favorite picture is of the moss. Overall I really like the collection of photos!

  4. Good description of your concentration. The photos are technically and compositionally solid(except the pine cone...cut off too much). The main thing is I'd like to see you take more risks, come up with something more original and stretch yourself as a photographer. These are all photos I've seen before...many times from various students. Express yourself! 44/50
